The Pop Score is our new comprehensive 0-100 review rating designed to move beyond simple thumbs-up or five-star systems. It is calculated from multiple factors including deep user ratings, review content, and a unique Proof of Play weighting system to ensure the most genuine and thorough opinions carry the greatest influence.

Why use PopReviews instead of just Steam reviews?
Steam reviews are great, but they can be hard to navigate. PopReviews is built to solve a few key problems:
- No Bots or Trolls: Our "Proof of Play" system verifies every reviewer owns the game and shows their playtime, which filters out review-bombing and spam.
- Curated Feed: Instead of sorting through thousands of random reviews, you can follow players whose opinions you trust and see *only* their reviews in your personalized "Following" feed.
Is my Steam account safe?
Yes. We never see or store your Steam password. We use Steam's official, secure OpenID login system, just like many other trusted sites.
How do I control my privacy?
In your Settings, you can make your entire profile private, or individually hide your game library and achievement progress from other users.
What is 'Proof of Play'?
"Proof of Play" is our verification system. When you write a review, we check your connected Steam library to confirm you own the game. We then display the total playtime from your Steam account on your review.
